Your child’s membership starts as soon as we receive the monthly payment.
Club fees are paid monthly in advance, due on the 1st of each month. Payments are made by bank transfer by parents. We do not process payments ourselves, so please ensure the transfer is completed on time to secure your child’s place.
If payment is not received by the 1st, your child’s place may not be guaranteed until the payment is received. Please contact us promptly if you experience any difficulties with payment.
Each lesson is focused entirely on learning. Children receive engaging, structured activities designed to build skills and confidence. You can learn more by visiting the club page your child is interested in: reading, writing, comprehension and SPaG.
We run lessons every week to help children make consistent progress and build momentum. Continuous learning allows children to consolidate skills and grow in confidence, rather than starting and stopping each term.
Yes! Research shows that children learn best in short, focused lessons. Each 25-minute lesson is carefully structured to make meaningful progress without overwhelming your child.
Yes. You would need to pay for each club your child is enrolled in. We do not offer discounts for multiple clubs or sibling memberships, as our fees are already very competitively priced.
Our clubs are designed to give children meaningful support. Most clubs have no strict group limit, as students work at their own pace and receive personalised feedback on submitted work, with opportunities to ask questions during lessons and when submitting tasks.
Reading Club is the only exception: groups are kept small to allow focused attention during live lessons, but there is no submitted work or feedback element for reading.
All lessons take place online via Zoom, making it easy for children to attend from home and convenient for parents.
We believe continuous weekly lessons help children build momentum and make steady progress, which is why we don’t schedule “holiday weeks off.” That said, we completely understand that families sometimes need to take time away. If your child can’t attend a lesson, we’ll send the homework for that week (where applicable) so it can be completed and marked at home. This way, your child can keep up without missing a beat. While we don’t offer refunds for missed lessons, we’re committed to helping your child stay on track.
Children should arrive on time with paper and pen, as lessons are designed to be focused and productive. Refunds are not provided for missed lessons.
To cancel your child’s membership, please email us and wait for a reply confirming we have received it. Your child can continue attending lessons until the end of the month you have already paid for. After that month, no further payments will be taken.
On rare occasions, we may need to cancel a lesson due to unforeseen issues. We’ll notify you as soon as possible and offer an alternative date and time for the lesson.
No. Any child in Years 4–6 may attend unless otherwise stated. The club aims to foster a love of reading and writing while extending children’s vocabulary and comprehension skills, which benefits all children, regardless of exam preparation.
The tutor is DBS-checked, experienced in working with children and committed to providing a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
All cancellations or questions about membership must be sent via email to owlteachinguk@gmail.com. Please wait for a reply to ensure your message has been received.
