Many children have good ideas but struggle to put them clearly onto the page. Writing can feel slow, messy or overwhelming — especially when time is limited and expectations feel high. Parents often tell us their child knows what they want to say but can’t organise it confidently or meet assessment criteria.
Our weekly online Writing Club helps children develop strong, confident writing habits. In just 25 minutes a week, students learn how to plan, structure and improve their writing for school assessments and the 11+, with clear guidance and supportive feedback that helps their work steadily improve.
Add depth and detail to their written work.
Approach the 11+ exam and school writing assessments with greater confidence.
Perform beyond year group expectations.
Produce writing assessed as exceeding expectations or at greater depth.
Neat, consistent handwriting
Clear presentation becomes second nature, with attention to letter formation, spacing, joins and line control, helping work look polished and purposeful.
A simple approach to any writing task
Whether it’s a story, description or non-fiction piece, your child learns how to plan, organise and write without feeling overwhelmed.
Stronger core writing skills
Mastering the essentials – punctuation, sentence control, structure – so writing is accurate and easy to follow.
Insight into what markers want
Your child understands how to shape their writing to meet expectations and secure higher marks.
A richer, more expressive vocabulary
Each week develops your child's word choice and language awareness, helping them write with clarity, precision and flair.
Confidence under time pressure
Short, regular tasks build focus, composure and self-belief, helping your child perform well even in timed situations.
1. Complete a task
During the 25-minute Zoom lesson, your child completes a short, targeted writing task based on the week’s extract or prompt.
2. Submit work
After the lesson, take a quick photo of their work and email it over by 4pm on Thursday for personalised feedback.
3. Receive feedback
Each Friday, your child receives detailed feedback highlighting their strengths and offering constructive tips to elevate their writing.
"I wish I had joined sooner. I can’t believe the progress she's made in just 14 weeks. My daughter's writing is stronger, her grammar has improved, and she is now working at greater depth in writing and SPaG." Adam
"My son loves writing, and this club has taken his skills to the next level. The feedback is always gentle and positive. It’s wonderful to see how much he enjoys learning while making real progress." M Flemming
